Big Changes at my house!

Hi everyone - it's been a long time since I've updated you all.  But with the recent change of events here at our house - I thought I should let you all know what's going on.

Mommy had a big belly for a long time and then one day - I woke up and she was gone.  Granny was here and said I have a new baby sister!  Mommy and my new baby sister came home 2 days later. 

So now I'm a big brother.  Mommy and Daddy say I'm the best big brother in the world.  My little sister's name is Ashlyn.  She's pretty quiet and to be quite frank.... kind of boring.  All she does is sleep and drink a bottle.  She cries every now and then and poops a lot.  Not sure what all the fuss was about getting me ready to be a big brother.... there's not much to do.  Mommy says that will change though.

So I'm now 2 and a half.  I'm doing really well.  I only see a heart doctor every year in August for my check ups and other than that - I've been pretty healthy.  I'm going to go see a leg doctor because mommy and daddy say I'm "knock Kneed" and "pronate" ... whatever that means.... but It's just to make sure I don't need anything with my growing legs.  I'm sure they will tell me more when I see the leg doctor.

I'm fully potty trained - I learned about a month before Ashlyn came.  Every now and then I poop in my pants but that's not often.  I have a cars potty seat and love it!  Sometimes I get really busy playing and have an accident - but those are happening less and less these days.  I have lots of fun underware - thomas the train, Elmo, Cars and Wall-E. 

What else am I doing?  Well - I know all my alphabet and even what all the letter sounds make.  I can count to 20 but I get 15-16-17 screwed up.  I have a great vocabulary and mommy says sometimes she forgets I'm 2!  I say words like Comfortable, beautiful, hypothesis, and investigation.  Sesame Street has helped a lot - ever hear of the "word of the day"  Murray always teaches me something.

Some of my favorite toys are trains, cars, any contruction vehicles - especially diggers, Mr. Potato head and musical instuments.  I have race cars too.... but I probably play the most with my alphabet letters.  Mommy and Daddy do Letters on the computer with me too.  I'm pretty good at it.  I like to watch Sesame street and Mickey Mouse.... and my favorite movies are Bee Movie, Cars, Toy Story 1-2 and 3... Monsters Inc and Ratatouille.  I went to see Cars to at the Movie theater.

This summer I took swim class with Daddy and learned lots of fun songs and how to splash and jump off the side of the pool into daddy's arms. I've been going to the playgrounds a lot and also like to ride my tricycle around the neighborhood.  I'm playing with Cooper and Tyson a lot.  I love to go to Grammy and Pappy's in the country.  I see lots of animals and ride the tractors and golf carts.

I've had my own room and a big boy bed since I was 2.  I do really well with bedtime and have only fallen out of bed 3 times!

So life is good here at our house.  Mommy and Daddy are going to use my blog to update everyone with Ashlyn's life too.  One day - mommy will turn the blog into a book for me and my little sister to keep.
